Default Caid mismatch maping on Coolsats doesn't work ?????

    Was testing cool 4k,5k,6k.
    Run rqssp on comp.
Didn't load any channel list after loading proper bin on coolsat.
    Did a blind scan.
None of of channels works, although I put caid mismatch line in cfg file:
    caid_mappings=1840:1816|1802:1816|

Channel works only if I put on each channel 8282 and blue button on remote and scroll down to 1816, and save.

Any ideas, how to avoid it ??????
The only solution so far I see: load channel list to Channel Master and convert it "in mass" to 1816 caid, because receiver after scan , report caid as 1840 in each channel.

Would somebody post most recent channel list for sat 110,119, 118,7 sats loadable to Channel Master ???????

Hate to change channel names by hand from chxxxx to proper channel name, according to lyngsat, it is over 1000 channels, and doing by hand 1000 channels is gonna take tooooooo long in CM.

Well, first thing to do is to specify which coolsat--the way one might fix the cs4k would be different in code from the others.
As for the channel names--the coolsat has been unsupported for a long time now. The list of names inside the code is old and should be fixed up. But that sort of thing should be the stuff the hobby is doing.
But, if you read recent news, it seems the old boxes are pretty much obsolete so not many using them or interested in working on them.

When DN moves to MPEG4 for SD all SD units will be door stops unless you get the Dreamlink T4 thats MPEG4 SD supported or if you already have a HD unit then you will be fine.

but then there will be a huge problem for iks servers b/c.... well Ill shut up..

those in the know... know what Im talking about

They work great on most true FTA satellites....The linear birds.

China sells already boxes capable to decrypt N3 on South America.
    And they do IKS too.
Saw some kind of box/dongle on alibaba, capable for mpeg4, didn't red spec's, but my initial understanding was, it was able to connect to reg fta receiver.

With technology galloping so fast, think that is gonna be some solution to all fta SD boxes.
And do not think, that dish transfer all channels to mpeg4, at least not all inter4nationals

When it comes to stealing signals, replacing a box is a better option than making an old one work when the tech behind the signal changes radically. The providers are looking at the bottom line not signal theft that much when it comes to mpeg4--you can fit more signals on a bird with that, so less need for other sats and less cost out of pocket in the long run. Time on a satellite that you don't own is expensive and replacing a sat that you do own is pretty high cost too.

BTW, there is a way to modify the coolsat 4000 code to let the box get DSS signals on 101 degree sat. Worked the method out at machine code level with XVI32 script on a digiwave 7000 box running coolsat code.
