I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

Check db level on the fan or laptop cooler before purchasing. It is usually marked on the fan itself. The lower the rating the better.

I found a fairly quiet fan but my wife thinks it's still too noisy so I'm running it with the cover off. Interestingly, I found that the JB200 tuner board heats up to around 140 C when in use. If I switch to the ASTC board, the JB200 cools down to around 80 C. Is there a critical temperature limit to be avoided?

    140 celcius?Is that what you typed???You must mean 140 farenheit.If that's the case,140 isn't too hot for a reasonably made component.
140 celcius the thing would be melting...or on fire. That's 284 farenheit

Not sure how your powering that fan but if it's a 12V try find a power supply for 6V. It will slow it down and run much quieter.
I actually have a 12V running on a Prosat with a 4V supply and you can't hear it at all and there is more than enough air flow.

When I put 12 volts to it, it sounds like a hover craft. LOL

I didn't know that.I got mine running on a 12 v power supply but noisy and not wife friendly.I will look into a lower power supply when I get a chance.

I have seen the issue before and usually if you change the channel you are on to another and wait a few seconds the signal will usually kick in. Not exactly sure what the cause of this is but if that does not work simply hard boot the box. If you are turning off your box for say the evening I also recommend turning it off with the remote then turning the back switch off as well if the switch is easily accessible.
