Except for the 2 years of my life I spent in an apartment building,I have enjoyed the love of a pet every single day.I will be 60 years old in 3 weeks.The losses don't get easier:they get harder.
Life is precious,and dead is for a long damn time.Love & honor your family & friends.

Exactly correct my friend, I`m also over 60 and have always had a dog and put down 5 of them in their old age. This one was brutal on us tho......he was still playing in the parking lot and grabbing toys in the vet`s office as we gave him the pre- morphine. However we can rest in comfort knowing he`s in a better place free to run and resume chasing anything that moves LOL

Some how I missed this thread when you first posted Cobra.
I am so sorry for your loss and no words I say will make things better. Just rest assured your dogs had the best owners ever.
