Default problem I cant seem to fix!! 82w

my problem is with 82w sat all the HD channels that have 21500 (H) polarity will not come in.. sometimes I can get it to come n for 5 mins then it will start getting (green pixilation) then cuts out!! channels with V polarity work no problem!!!

129w comes in no prob, V and H polaity works, but on the BEV HD its all messed up..

I have bought 2 new DL200 modules thinking it was that, and same thing, I changed the LNBs,

anyone have any ideas what maybe causing it!! I'm missing all the good hd channels like tlc. ctv-t
    hist a n e ect!!

I think the horizontal polarity uses 18 volts - whereas the vertical is 12 volts - so you may not be getting 18 volts from your receiver to the LNB - is it a long cable run? Are you sure you have RG6 satellite cable and not RG59?
Have you tried using a power inserter? Check your RF connectors and make sure they have a good ground.

Given the sats being used as mentioned below its likey a correct diagnosis of the o/p's issue.

T5 junk?......you won't see many T5 owners making that statement.

don't get me wrong I like it, but like I said ive had nothing but problems since I had it, when I forst got it I never relized how HOT the thing would get, so I had to get a laptop cooler...im thinking it may have gotten to warm and screwed something up, that's the only thing I can think of why I'm having this problem..

I'm sure theres a ton of people that have a T5 that are running 119 110 129 82 91 without issue!! maybe ill have to waste some more doe and buy another one..

All electronics have their limits it sounds like this one was pushed over it's design capabilities, check with your seller that you got the box from if it's over a year I highly doubt it would be covered.

Nothing wrong with the box, maybe it's your setup or your equipment

Agreed, when there is a polarity problem it's usually the lnb, the switch or the cable.

How are you switching these LNB's??? And what type(s) are they??

When a unit runs HOT it is for some reason, 90% of the time it's due to trying to run a multi LNB like the dish 1000 (3 LNB's in one) off a box that can only supply 500 mA to this type of LNB that needs 750 mA to run right.

If you are using 5 separate LNB's and they are the legacy DC voltage switching type, then the run of coax may be too long and your dropping too much DC voltage to switch then properly.

If trying to run the Dish 1000 LNB with that under powered receiver you will need the extra DC power from a DPP44 switches power supply, it is the only thing that will run that type of LNB correctly.

However we are all guessing and I am looking in my crystal ball to provide is info as we still do not know what type of LNBs you have and any type of switch(s) you have in the setup.

This would help us greatly in helping you fix this problem as my crystal ball is running low on power.

Also trying to mix different types of LNB's with say a DP or DPP type of LNB from Dish can cause all sorts of problems.
