    So sad to see all that. I spent two weeks there last year and it was a beautiful place to visit. The local people were great, nice and friendly although some of the tourists were real jerks.
    I think all told I have been there a dozen times and made quite a few friends over the years.
    Wish I was younger and I would go down again to help.

    Tragedy...great tragedy.
    I've been fortunate enough to vacation in the Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg area anually for the last 14 years,sometimes twice a year.I fell in love with the people & this place on my first visit.I've made several friends,some of them will be lifetime now.Everyone has been affected there,some losing all.I've been in touch with my friends & they are at least unhurt by the flames, but their lives will be a mess for sometime.The cabin I stay at in the mountains is untouched,so I will visit again this coming May.Pretty sure it will feel different...send some money for those that need it if you can.

    chicot60 for some reason I am not able to see the content of some of your posts like this one.Anyone know why?I can see most of them.

    I married a fta mod from over the mountain in tenn and we spent our honeymoon in gatlinburg.We heard our motel took a hit.

    I run into it the odd time with TOR Browser. Never bothered to figure it out.
