Default Another What Box to get Question?

I have no experience with IPTV yet. I am able to manage IKS though.
I am wanting to change to IPTV but after reading much I am still confused so I don't need a scolding about reading.
I am not that tech savvy so I want a box easy to set-up and use. I will only be using a paid for service so no worries about the free stuff that sounds harder to make work. All the talk about apps I do not really understand.
I was told that Linux system is better than Android?
From what I have read the Dreamlink T1 and the Mag 254 seem to be mentioned the most.
In my opinion it would be better to get a popular box so if I have issues I could get help easier.
HD content is important to me if that helps.
So any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Which IKS provider are you using north or south?? If you are able to pick up north then you should be in pretty good shape except for the movie end of it
If you are a big sports fan then the north has NFL and NHL and all of the cable channels you can think of.

If you are just looking to pick up movies then I don't think the receiver is going to make a big difference - most of them are pretty decent - Infomir's MAG boxes, Avov, Dreamlink, Roku, M8... in my opinion they all are pretty good.... but I'm not a big audiophile or videophile - I'm more into the content end of what is available so may not be of much help.

North or South? I want south for movies,Discovery etc. The only reason I would want south is for the news or network channels but to answer your Question I am currently south. Sports I could care less but PPV I like.

My thought was if he was looking to IPTV for sports - he would probably not like it and would be better off with IKS if he could get the north signal. Since he is not concerned about the sports channels then IPTV is the way to go.

So with the right paid service you can get the same movies, Discovery channels etc that you would see on DN?

Kodi is an app that you load on a IPTV box like the T1 or Mag 254 right?

I do also - I have 10 different IPTV services - but none of them are as good as the picture quality or reliability of IKS north if you are talking about the sports packages
I always fire up my DreamLink T5 especially on Sundays. IPTV EpicStream has all the sports packs and are pretty reliable - but the picture quality is not as good as satellite.
