    Default Updating codecs?

I was wondering if there was a way to update the codecs on the nano hd? It plays most of my movies/series from the usb stick but found a few that says 'codec not supported'
Im actually surprised the amount of different files it plays but there are a few that say that about the codec.
    Thanks

Not without a lot of work. These FTA boxes tend to be "embedded processors" with limited sw support in public (most processor companies make folks sign non-disclosure agreements before letting them buy the operating system). There is some Conexant processor source code out there for the coolsat 5000 box and that give one some clues about working with other Conexant based boxes, but what you want to do is very box code intensive.
Oh, and some of the codecs are inside the processor hw rather than in sw. Early Conexant chips had mpeg2 built in. Newer one's have expanded to mpeg4 as well.

Ops, my mistake the specs for box show:
CPU: Ali M3606 (398MHz),Dual High performance 32bit CPU
That is a processor that does have some source code out in public, and does much the same as conexant.
