    Default server entry

Just got a new 9000i but can't get a menu item for entering server data.
What do I need to load to access it?
Not seeing anything in the files section but the Net90 June 9 file and it isn't providing it.

    Thanks

781 is the latest Net 90 and 146 is the latest factory file.
make sure to reboot after loading. F2 on remote should get you to server info(password 0000)

Make sure you load the factory file using "all code+boot code" then do the same with newest 3rd party file.

If you go into menu and arrow right to tools select 8181 on the controller. You should get a message that says "hidden menu available" then go into tools and down to server menu.

As already posted you can also just go to a channel (not working) and select F2 on the bottom of the controller and that should open the server menu.

The default passcodes on these receivers is 0000.

Thanks guys. That should get me up and running.
I'm still not clear on where this third party file is though, or how to load it.

The 9000I file is located here: http://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?...V781-Update-SW

If you have the 9000I Local this is not the correct file...just fyi.

After you download the file you will want to unzip it and put it on a USB drive and load it to the receiver. It goes on after the factory file. In the menu you will find the option to load the file via USB then update it using "all code+boot code" in the menu.

    Default still no go

Loaded latest factory file and 09JUN file but still can't connect to server after data entry.
(Using F2 on remote, I don't know how that 8181 business was supposed to go but it did nothing for me.)
Scrolling down to Connect and hitting OK on remote does nothing (- Server is disconnected).
Copy does nothing and paste wipes the data, as does exiting the Network Server entry.

What am I doing wrong? Or is the thing just all f'd up?

i don't know anything about linkbox but found this

Hit F2 button. top right side of the remote.... should bring up.. P$.. if not. .then you have to go thru..
Menu -- tools. enter 8282.. then you should see a hidden menu notice.. .and arrow to the right and arrow up 2 times.. Will see Network Server highlighted...hit OK on the remote
You have these choices where it shows Server Index... . arrow to the right or left and you will have choices of.. Server 0 thru 5 for choices....
    select one to setup..
    Server Index.............................Server 3( just picking a number)
    Server Type..............................NewCamd
URL..................................highlite and hit ok enter the P$ address.. . use the Red button on remote to change from Caps to lower case..numbers in in Upper Case... only...
Make sure you arrow down to OK and hit OK on the remote to save it.. then go to next line..
Port..............................5 digit number.. highlite and hit OK.. enter the same 5 digit number on both lines arrow down to OK and hit OK on remote
User...................highlite hit ok on remote... enter P$ user name... remember to arrow down to OK and hit ok on remote every time you are done with info in a keypad...
Password..................same steps as you used for User..
    Newcamd Client ID....................GENERIC
    Key Data.......................28 digit Number.......
Connect.... when done with all above info.. hit connect see if it connects....
Make sure when you enter each line to make sure it is exactly as was sent to you... check. .check and check again. .be positive.. do not take for granted you did not make a mistake everyone does....
If it does not show Login OK and the number of the server you setup...
Exit out... totally... reboot receiver with the rear switch.. go to a known working channel after it finishes communicating.. as you will see on the screen.. it goes thru several steps of connecting and will say if server is connected or failed.. if connected.. go to say channel 239..
if not connected go back in and try to connect again.. if it fails...
redo all steps above until you find where you might have messed up..
    hope that helps
    good luck

Scrolling to OK button after entry fixed the data retention problem but still won't connect.
Checked and rechecked the data and it's okay, so since I'm not seeing server problems in the forums, my Prosat probably got me banned again.

Thanks for the help - much appreciated
