    Default Sat 129

I'm trying to point at 129 but can't seem to lock in. No problems locking into 110 and 119. I'm in central Alberta using a 39 inch dish. I used the same dish 3 years ago and it worked fine. Has DN did anything lately?

Any trees or bushes grown up since then? Just asking...

Different house zero obstructions. Checked to see if LNB was bad. Coax is good. I've set up hundreds of dishes and never had any problems.

Have you switched any of the lnbs around? that would be an easy test

Coax is also very touchy crap, have you cut the end off and restripped it? one little hare wire touching the main is all it would take....

Where in central Alberta?? If in Edmonton then a 48 inch dish would be needed, look at the link below it will give you an active foot print map, zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you an estimated dish size needed for error free reception on 129.

    Code:
    http://www.satbeams.com/footprints?norad=33453
Select the CONUS beam as the one for Canada is not active.

In red deer. I've used the same dish a few years ago. I've tried 5 different lnbs, different coax and 2 different dishes.

    Satbeams says I need a 60cm 19.7 inch. That makes no sense. I have a 85cm 33 inch dish.

Your on the wrong beam, that one is for Canada and is not active right now, use the CONUS beam (selected at the top of the web page in the pink line), the CONUS beam is the only one that would be receivable at your location.

Also use transponder 12515R to find 129W from your location, it is a CONUS beam and in SD.

Use channel 9599 on that transponder to help find it, this is the "You have a dish at 129W" channel, it's in the open.

Okay I see the Conus. My dish is 2 inches larger so that should be good. I'll continue with it in the morning and report back
