    Default 4k box?

    Hello,

Does anyone know if there is an IKS box out there that can handle 4k? Or if not IKS, another way to watch 4k tv without having to contact an official provider?

I have seen a 4k PVR DVB-S2 box that was not setup to do IKS in the software, but did have two card slots so if one could get into that card slot and inject the cw packets then maybe you could do IKS. Or, you might be able to add IKS code to the sw. It was the Vu+ Solo as I recall. It also had slots for tuners and it could be that you could build or use a module for Turbo FEC. But the take-away is that if you want it, you have to do the work to get there.

Oh--there is an open source Linux project for the box!
