    Default couple of jynxbox questions

i just bought a used jynxbox and am having the same issue as my older one...the picture freezes after about 10-20 minutes (audio still works), then the whole box freezes a minute later, at which point i do a hard reboot (power switch toggle on the back) and its back to normal for another 10-20 minutes and then it freezes again

the one i have now seems like an original..i believe my old one was a close as it said jynxbox v4 as the model name under system information

    as for the new one:

    1. the box is labeled on the front (by the channel display) as a v3, but once i go into system information it says that it's a v2

    2. when i try to change the firmware (tried to go to 2.43, then 2.39), it doesn't show it as changed in system information...still shows 1.2.42

this is what it says under system information for the used one i just bought:

    model: jynxbox v2
    loader version: 1.2.20
    hardware version: 1.0.3
    database version: 1.0.1
    firmware version: 1.2.42
    build date: 2013-7-24

does anyone have an idea if this could be an issue with something other than the box? a switch? lnb? cabling? dish?

i have a dreamlink t5 that almost works fine, but also drops signal when i change channels sometimes, which also requires a power off/on to get the picture back

so, in summary...the jynxboxes freeze (the new one also sometimes drops signal and requires a reboot) and the dreamlink drops signal sometimes when i change channels....both require reboots to get back to normal

kind of at my wit's end here...can anyone help?

I've had my jynxbox v2 for several years and the only thing that seems to go wrong with it the jb200 modual only lasts 6 months to a year. Depends on how long u have it on.
    That would be my guess.
    Good luck

Well I have the same thing with my spouse...I spent weeks trying to fix it...now she turns the back toggle off/on and it works for her & populates for a few days (v2)
