Guy is interviewing Mike... this is a short part of it on Floyd and Manny...
The sport could use that type of ambassador or mediator now to pound out a deal for a Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao bout in November. Any interest?
"If you need one man to get two men in the ring and fight each other, they're not men. They should want to fight each other. I don't know if they will fight, or why they won't. I'm not in their heads. There may be a financial strategy at play, some kind of rights we're not thinking about."
You can't really relate to this, right?
"Some guys are afraid to lose, and they think once they lose there's nothing left. That zero is their security blanket. I was just out there wanting to be the best. I thought of myself as the best fighter God ever created. No man was ever going to step into that ring and beat me. I can't relate. It's out of the question. We're from different eras. Some of these guys today are business oriented. When I fought, we didn't care if we had no money left afterward. All we really wanted was to have enough left to open a bar like the guys before us did, and a lot of those guys were deadbeats or ended up in insane asylums. That was the glamorous road I wanted to follow."

It is clear that the frustration concerning this mega fight could be directly attributed to only ONE CAMP. <br />

This is just one complete mess! Unheard of in the long history of boxing! Both these guys are not what
boxing is made of..
I could care less about Manny's taxes... like i could care less about Floyd's 90 day stint...
I have lost complete respect for both these guys..
We might criticize Erik last saturday for getting in the ring with this young basher...
A flabby old Erik verdad?
BUT,,, he got IN the ring with him and took his beating like a man! And got his shots in!
He might be an old shot fighter,,, but he is a man in my eyes!! He did it for thousands $$$..
The above two jokers won't do it for MILLIONS!!! Scared to death of each other... like Iron Mike said.
I think we give both these jokers wayyyy too much attention!

Fame and notoriety, like sex, gets a lot of attention in the media. The media, the bloggers, sports analyst, tv broadcasters, unfortunately, could care less about our personal sentiments. The print, write, sensationalize, and pounce upon any tidbit of news and information about Pacquiao, Mayweather, and the "big fight".
Hating these two for all personal reasons or sentiments affects only the one person with an ax to grind.
For instance, would Mike Tyson get his 2 minutes in the media if he were to talk about Felix Strum? Or Nicolino Locche? No! But here he is - getting attention. Why? Because he talks about ....well...... who else? Paradoxically, he writes, and you repeat - "We give these two guys too much attention." LOL!!!
Because of incredible popularity and exposure, many (including Tyson) want their moments of fame OR notoriety. The woman from the BIR who started the "tabloid" about Pacquiao possibly going to jail (we covered that gossip extensively here, too) because of some tax anomalies got more than her "moment of fame". She could now face serious retributions.
Brian Tracy, motivational speaker, admonishes against letting emotions run you down. He said that if someone cuts you off on the highway, you may feel rage and want to run after the culprit and cut him off also to return the favor. But as you are about to catch up, he exits the highway, probably whistling a happy tune not aware of the rage he has caused you. Your rage drives your adrenalin to dangerous levels.
So, amigo, anytime "these two" drive you nuts, get a tequila, or some San Miguel Beer, and think of the nude beaches of Spain. You will feel less rage and lower your BP! Cheers! Amigo!

I think the above applies to both of them bolivia... we gotta remember Manny turned down the first fight... (drug testing)
and he just turned down 50 mil... PLUS a rematch if he wins... another 50 mil or MORE!
Enough said... my good friend Fib will remind me i said NO MAS! (he would be right)

At the risk of repeating myself....they get more and longer publicity by not fighting than they`d ever get in the ring if they`d have fought in the first place. And now having a brain child like Tyson putting his 2 cents into the mix?....well that 2 cents otta tap Tyson out of any more thought process for the next couple years at least..

Ever tried a "stand-up routine"? You sure could make me laugh!
Actually, the two P4P's are already embroiled in several contests. They have been for the last two years.
(1) Which PPV gets more gate receipts
(2) Which match was/is more exciting (May/Ortiz; Pac/Marquez; May/Cotto; Pac/Bradley)
(3) Which boxer packs more marketing appeal
(4) Which boxer gets more fame or notoriety
(5) Which gets more tweet followers
(6) Which gets more Google hits
(7) Which got more recognition as sportsnewsmaker in 2011 (Pac was 4th behind Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins; Tim Tebow - Denver Broncos' Qtrback; Terrell Pryor - Ohio State QB) (May did not make it in the top 10!)
So ... here we are agreeing..... they do get a lot of coverage don't they?
