ACKSON HELPS BOBCATS TOP HEAT FOR RARE ROAD WIN

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Stephen Jackson poured in 35 points and grabbed eight rebounds, as the Charlotte Bobcats picked up just their second road win of the season with a 107-97 victory over the Miami Heat.
Gerald Wallace added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Bobcats, who improved to 2-14 away from home this year. D.J. Augustin chipped in 13 points off the bench for Charlotte, which shot 52.2 percent from the field.
"Our bench was able to help us get control of the game. But this game started off like the last fourteen games that we lost on the road. We have to come out and be more aggressive on the road. We haven't figured that out yet. But luckily our bench was bale to get us out of it tonight," Wallace said.
Dwyane Wade scored 29 points and dished out 11 assists to pace the Heat, who have dropped three in a row following a three-game winning streak. Quentin Richardson ended with 20 points and five rebounds while Michael Beasley tallied 14 and six for Miami, which opened a three-game homestand on Saturday.
Ahead 91-89 with 4 1/2 minutes to go in the fourth, the Bobcats went on a 12-5 run to claim victory. Augustin and Jackson bookended the spurt with three- pointers, with the latter giving Charlotte a 103-94 margin with 1:50 to play.
The Heat never got closer than six the rest of the way.
The Heat came out of the gates on fire, starting the game on a 17-6 run. Miami then ripped off 12 straight points moments later to build a big margin. Dorell Wright's three-point play made it a 29-10 contest with two minutes left.
Derrick Brown scored the final seven points of the quarter for Charlotte to pull it within 30-17 after 12 minutes.
Down 34-20 early in the second, the Bobcats used a 22-4 spurt to go in front. Jackson tallied 11 points during the burst, which Flip Murray capped with a layup and jumper for a 42-38 margin with 2:46 left until halftime. Charlotte held a 49-46 edge at the break.
The Heat scored eight consecutive points early in the third to go in front 56-52 with 9 1/2 minutes remaining. The remainder of the stanza was tight and the Bobcats led 73-72 heading to the fourth.
"It was a difficult and disappointing loss. Particularly with the energy and passion we started off the game with. We had the right mind frame against a very tough team that just keeps on coming and that's what they did. They stormed back in the second quarter and it became a grind out game. They just broke away in the fourth quarter," Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra said.
