Can i run power to 34 switch? Also, if i can, how should it be connected correctly?

Yes you can by using an old dish stb receiver. Just plug it into port 1.

Although this is not a reliable power inserter it is occasionally a nice cheap fix. However you don't give much technical information as to why you wish to add additional power to the dp34 switch. Are you going to use it with a dvb card or stb? what type lnb's? More info is needed to give you the proper advice.

the dp34 should not need any power as long as you have at least a couple ftas hooked up.

Only one receiver will supply DC power to any switch, and that is usually the one with the higher DC voltage output.

Also some (not all) switches will only take DC power at port #1, the other ports have DC blocking to prevent fold back into the receiver with the lowest DC voltage output.
