I just had a short in my cable. When I went to reboot I lost my signal on both 110 and 119. I went to hook both of them up direct to see if i was getting signal nothing. Could I have blowen booth LNB ?

Lol. Na. You mean blow the receiver.
Try connecting another receiver and see what happens.

If you're using a diseq switch you most likely blew the switch.

If you had a short in your coax you could have also blown your switch, (if you have one) you said you have both 110 and 119, do you have 2 LNB's?

If you do then you have a switch somewhere.

Its hard to blow the LNB with a short, but if something was cross circuited to them then they could be bad.

If you have a zero "S" signal (not the "Q") then the LNB's could be bad or you still have a short somewhere.

One question, how did you know you had a short in the coax?

I would check all settings in the receivers to see that they are set to the correct configuration for your LNB's and switch.

Ya I have a 110 sat and 119 sat . The thing is when i hooked up direct to the lnb 110 or 119 still no signal. The connection to my reciever was loose how i found out. I try two other fta recievers they where old but still showed no signal?

Have you put new ends on the cables or tried new ones, could still be a short somewhere. Check the cables from end to end too to make sure the insulation is airtight and no corrosion is showing.

Look at all of your connections, especially the ones out side....moisture is the worst enemy.

It's happen to me once. I had the rg6 loop thru another stb. the switch did not got burn out the the wire did. You can pull the cable out and look at the tip of the wire. If you see any black spot, just clean it with wire brush and you good to go.
