ACKSON HELPS BOBCATS TAKE FIRST-EVER WIN IN CLEVELAND
THE SPORTS NETWORK
Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Stephen Jackson finished with 22 points and made two key free throws in the final seconds to help Charlotte get its first- ever win at Cleveland, 91-88.

Gerald Wallace ended with 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, who had never won in 10 previous road games against the Cavaliers. Raymond Felton added 17 points to the victory, Charlotte's second in a row, while Flip Murray had 10.

LeBron James finished with 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists, but missed a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer as the Cavaliers had a seven-game winning streak broken. It was only the third home loss for Cleveland this season.

Mo Williams sank five three-pointers and ended with 27 points and six assists for the Cavs.

DeSagana Diop's basket with just under five minutes left gave Charlotte an 81-74 lead, but Williams hit a three and, following a Bobcats turnover, Shaquille O'Neal made a layup to get the Cavs within two.

The teams continued to trade points, and Delonte West's three-pointer with 2:14 left trimmed the Cavaliers' deficit to 83-82. Both teams missed a number of shots, and James broke out on a fastbreak opportunity, only to be fouled.

However, he made just one, keeping it a tie game with 1:16 remaining. But Murray rescued the Bobcats, draining a three at the other end to give Charlotte the edge down the stretch.

A James layup with 15.5 seconds remaining got the Cavs within 88-86, and after Felton sank only 1-of-2 at the line, James drove for a layup with 9.2 left to make it an 89-88 game.

But on the ensuing inbound, the Bobcats passed out of a trap and the press, and when Cleveland finally fouled Jackson, there were only 2.5 seconds to go. Jackson sank both to force the Cavs to attempt a three, and James' attempt from deep in the corner hit off the rim.

Neither team led by more than nine points in the tight game. Cleveland held a 24-18 edge after the first quarter, though the Bobcats came back in the second. Murray's two free throws late in the half ended a seven-point rally to make it a 42-42 contest, though Williams eventually closed the half with a jumper to put the Cavs up 46-45 at the break.

The Bobcats led 70-69 moving to the fourth, and expanded it to 77-70 with 7 1/2 minutes remaining following a D.J. Augustin three.
