ARENAS QUIET AFTER PRACTICE; TO MEET WITH AUTHORITIES on MONDAY

WASHINGTON - A day after acknowledging "bad judgment" for bringing guns to the locker-room, embattled guard Gilbert Arenas was not talking after practice.
The Washington Wizards star is to meet with law enforcement Monday. Arenas is being investigated by federal and local authorities.
On Saturday, Arenas also denied that he gambles and said there are misconceptions about a dispute between him and teammate Javaris Crittenton.
Coach Flip Saunders spoke at practice Sunday and questioned the way in which Arenas is being portrayed.
The coach said various reports are trying to "lump a lot of things together." He added that such an approach toward Arenas is "not fair to him from that standpoint."
Saunders disputed a report that said Arenas deliberately tried to disrupt practices during training camp in October and refused to speak with the coach.
"That's not true. ... He has not been in any kind of situation along those lines," Saunders said.
The New York Post has reported that Arenas and Crittenton drew guns on each other. When asked about that Saturday, Arenas said: "I can't speak on that. But if you know me, you've been here, I've never did anything (involving) violence. Anything I do is funny -- well, it's funny to me."
Asked if the accounts have been blown out of proportion, Arenas laughed and said: "A little."
Arenas played in just 15 games the past two seasons after three operations on his left knee. Saunders said Arenas is making a difficult transition and has been co-operative. This year, Arenas has played in all 31 games for last-place Washington (10-21) and is averaging 22.7 points.
"He's never backed away from any challenge when I've jumped him for taking a bad shot," Saunders said. "He's never shied away from criticism. I think our communication has been good."
