Is there a diplexer that can be used with cable and antenna? would like to combine cable and antenna the way sat and antenna is combined using a diplexer.

Looks like the answer is no.

the answer should be yes as per "regent's" link:
It is also possible to diplex a signal from your satellite dish with one from your TV and/or FM/DAB aerial, then, down by the TV/Sky box, this can then be split out again to feed each unit. However, it must be noted that this combined signal cannot feed multiple satellite tuners simply by splitting it. If multiple feeds from a satellite dish to a number of “set top boxes” were required it would be necessary to use a multiswitch (and a Quattro LNB) which is outside the scope of this article. The fact that a diplexer can be utilised for satellite frequency signals is one of the most significant reasons why all cabling should use decent quality satellite grade cable. You never know whether you, or someone who buys your house, will need to utilise existing wiring (possibly installed behind the wall....) to carry signals from a satellite dish.

I'm not looking to combine then split sat and cable/ant signal. I want to combine and split cable and antenna signal. Doesn't look like a diplexer can do this.

Cable and Over the Air (antenna) signals occupy the same frequencies, so you can't combine them without causing all kinds of interference.
Cable TV and OTA use the same freq. range. So as far as I know there is nothing that would work to combine the two sources on to one cable and split them off again.
I guess you could convert the freq range of one and then combine them. But alot easier and cheaper to run another cable.

You beat me to the post by a couple of minutes. Same answer too.

Just for the record, I tried to use diplexers for the exact same purpose you require, and they do NOT work.Ended up with 2 cable runs.

Diplexers have two different frequency band inputs, on for the 50 to 750 MHz band (OTA TV and CATV) the other for satellite at 900 to 2.5 GHz, so the diplexer wont work for two of the same frequency bands,. (CATV and OTA)
To combine the two TV bands (CATV and OTA) you would need a combiner, however this will open up a BIG can of worms, as the two run almost in the same frequency slots,(CATV uses sub-bands and hyper bands also) and with the CATV signal being the higher level of the two it may/will over ride all signals from the TV antenna, in fact the CATV signal may leak out back through the combiner, out through the TV antenna, and start interfering with other peoples OTA signals in your neighborhood.
This would get the engineers all excited down at the CATV control room, and they might trace it down to you ( yes kids we could to do that) and cut the cable from the TV antenna, and/or remove the combiner. (as they own the coax from the street to your TV set top box)
So as others have said, combining the Over The Air TV signals with the CATV signals won't work, and is a NO NO.
Use 2 coaxes and an A/B switch at the TV.

Sorry, that one wont work for his application. Thats for satellite and CATV/OTA.
He wants to combine off air TV with cable TV, you cant mix the two.
