Looks like a gimmick to me. It's just a dipole in a fancy case, so it'll work no better than a set of "rabbit ears" with a UHF loop. It'll be fine to pick up the CN tower, but depending on where you are exactly Buffalo might be a bit of a stretch, or at least not reliable. It's always best to stick with a reputable brand (channel master/winegard/antennas direct/Wade-Delhi) and avoid gimmick designs. Physics dictate that some of the antenna designs currently on the market just won't work.

Go to TVFool.com and enter your location, it will give you an idea on whats what at your location.
It will also give you an idea on what type of antenna would be needed.
You can post your report back here if you make the link dead, like this, hXXp://www.tvfool.com, it will not give away your exact location, but will help us determine what antenna would be needed.

I've got a terk indoor square black one and live near Niagara falls. I pickup around 15 channels. good enough for the night my services are down.

Again, go to tvfool.com and enter your location, this will tell you if you can use an indoor antenna or not.
They are amplified to work better inside, TV antennas work much better outside, on a tall mast so they can see the TV towers better.

I've used that TV Fool website you mentioned and its a good site as it even tells you how many miles the station antenna is from your location.
