THE SPORTS NETWORK
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Kaman scored a team-high 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds, as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 105-95, at Staples Center.

Eric Gordon recorded 16 of his 19 points in the third quarter for the Clippers, who have won three of their last four games. Baron Davis posted 15 points and nine assists, while Rasual Butler added 13.

"We had a slow start in the first half. We took care of the basketball better in the second half," Kaman said.

Martell Webster had a game-high 25 points, while Andre Miller ended with 22 points and 16 assists for Portland, which lost for the second time in its last eight games. Brandon Roy was limited to six points on 3-of-12 shooting in defeat.

"We didn't play defense tonight," said Portland head coach Nate McMillan. "They did a good job with our traps and rotations. They got what they wanted and controlled the game."

The Trail Blazers led 21-20 after the first quarter, but a Kaman layup tied the game at 45 through 24 minutes. Los Angeles owned a slim 78-74 advantage after the third frame was completed and continued to pull away in the fourth.

Butler hit a shot to give the Clippers their biggest lead of the game, 105-87, with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.

Game Notes: The Clippers had lost four in a row to Portland...Marcus Camby totaled nine points and 15 rebounds for Los Angeles, which made 8-of-13 three-point attempts...Howard finished with 16 points.
