Cases of mistaken identity are quite common with the Vancouver Canucks.

Whether you're a veteran hockey reporter or a diehard Canucks fan it's inevitable that you will mix up Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin at some point given the fact they are identical twins.

Even goaltender Cory Schneider is sometimes confused with the Sedins since he also has red hair and similar facial features.

However, one poor reporter from the United States sat down with Canucks defenceman Kevin Bieksa for a radio interview thinking it was Bieksa's teammate Ryan Kesler.

Instead of correcting the reporter, Bieksa, a Canadian, had some fun with it and pretended to be Kesler, an American.

The end result is embarrassing for the reporter but funny for everybody else.

After the interview, Bieksa told theporvince.com: "That guy's an idiot. It's his own fault if he can't tell the difference between an all-star centre and a plug defenceman ... He doesn't know who Ryan Kesler is. Ryan Kesler won a silver medal for them. I did a full 10 maybe 15 minute interview with him. I was telling how I grew up in Livonia.
