When i load mplayer on my wii the screen goes black?

I have a softmodded wii.When i was watching a movie on the mplayer app,the screen became black but there was audio.Then i turned back my wii on and off.And i reloaded the mplayer and i see a black screen.What could be the problem?

Go and uninstall Mplayer and then reinstall it.The SD card could be corrupt and the files could have gotten messed up.Has happened to me many times.

How do i uninstall mplayer and reinstall it?The reason why i am asking is because somebody softmodded my wii and he installed mplayer at the sametime.If possible give me the step by step instructions please.
