Ok. No giggles please.
This T-Rex can pretty much find his way around stuff on his computer, except, posting full size pics as full size and not thumbnails.
Ok. I heard a giggle.
I have tried and tried and tried. It doesn't seem to compute.
Any help would be apprecited and also be a boon for my blood pressure.:tehe:

I have windows 7. When i right click on the photo i get a pop up box. One of the commands is "copy image url." I left click copy image url. I then go the icons above this line and open insert image (third one from the right). Remove the check from "Retrieve remote file and reference locally". Go to the command box under URL right click and paste. That should do it. Whatever operating system you use you need to copy the url of the image. Hope this helps. pm me if you need more explanation.

Sorry, didn't think of this but the icons disappear when you post, however, when you starting a new thread or replying they are present.

have you tried with a different browser?
Anyway if using IE Try this.
Open IE and go to the toolbar, select Tools/Internet Options/Security.
High light the Internet Icon in the white window there and then click the Medium Settings button, or Custom Settings button, if applicable.
In the next window look down the list for the Miscellaneous heading, under that heading there is an option called Drag and drop or Copy and paste files make sure that option is enabled and not disabled, check the enable box if disabled, click Apply and OK out. You may have to re-start the PC in order to initiate the option in the system.

If I can just remember how I did this. I went to our fire hall where we have windows xp. Click on the image. Right click the image. Scroll to properties bottom of the pop up box. Click on properties. You will see address (url). Highlite and copy. Go back to your thread and open the insert image icon. Click the "from url" top of pop up box, remove the check, paste and that should do it. You should have something like this:

http://www.freakingnews.com/pictures/20500/Lindsay-Lohan--20978.jpg Hit enter. You can check if it works by using the preview post. If it is not there sometimes hit advanced and then preview.
Hope this does it for you.

You can also Cntl+V to paste image from clipboard. Cntrl+C will also copy to clipboard the image you have highlighted.
BTW Win Vista does not have this file but XP and Win7 do. This file needs to be in Windows/system32 folder. Look for either clip.exe or clipbrd.

The trick is to copy the image url and then paste it into insert image icon. I had a fairly difficult time myself with this but then its eureka! Copy command does not do it. You must copy url or address. With windows 7 it is easy to copy the image url because when i right click the image i get a pop up box which asks me what i want to do.

Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)
You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.
This is in your general settings. I think this has to checked off in order for you to show images???? At the bottom of the page.

My issue is trying to get a jpg on my desktop to show that size.
If the image jpg was a normal size when you find the url or address of the image and paste into insert image it will remain normal size. If you go through the attachment process then the image will be a thumbnail. Even then you can view it and then right click the image to get the url (address). Is it necessary to put it on the destop first? To me it would seem to be an extra step.
