Been looking around and there is lots of different tablets out there, 2.1, 2.3 & 4.0 operating systems. Big money for name brands & some really fair prices on others from China. I am really interested in purchasing one of these but would like some tips from someone who knows. Any info would be great.
Thanks

I have friends that own Blackberry Playbook and really like it ($299.00), I have the Acer Iconia A500 ($399.00) and like it as well. If I were to buy one now, I would for sure pick one that has Andriod 4.0. Compare prices between the Apple Ipad (not the NEW IPAD) and an andriod 4.0 tablet and make your decision that way. I would stay away from the no name Chinese tablets that sell very cheap, you will be disappointed at the touch screen, battery life and little odd problems that always come with these. The one that is very good and has high ratings is the Asus Transformer Prime.

I was looking at tablets today and the one feature that I want is a MicroSD slot. I want to be able to take a few cards with me when travelling with my work or play on it. I don't always have access to wi-fi.
The difficulty with moving files between computers and the ipad are causing problems at work so the move is to Android.

I personally have a Blackberry Playbook and love it.It does not have a Micro Sd slot which bites but have found ways to Side Load Android apps onto the playbook. The playbook also has Adobe Flash Built in which a lot of people like so they can play there Facebook games.I only have the 16GB Playbook but am looking into getting the 64GB just so I can have more room on it to store Android apps and books and pictures.
I previously had a Craig 7 inch Android Tablet and I would never own another one.It was slow and didn't respond to much.Basically found it was good for a e-reader and that was about it.

I have a BB playbook also . It is the best bang for your $ . You can pick up a 64gb for 300 + change . The os still has a long way to go but the potential is there . Remains to be seen whether rim makes something out of it before they go bankrupt . As far as the sim card is concerned they will probably a;;ow for micrusb memory card to be connected usb ( eventually)

The nexus 7 is looking pretty darn sweet. 16gb version for 249 would be my pick especially since its a google product and will get updates first.

The Toshiba Thrive is a good one. USB slot as well as SD memory slot. Pretty decent battery life as well. As with anything, check feedback ratings from owners when your reading about them.
