Welcome Race Fans to the third annual 2012 Satfix NASCAR Pool.

Congrats to buckets88 for winning the Capital City 400 at Richmond.

The race this weekend is the Aarons 499 at Talladega.

Coverage begins Sunday May 6th at 12:00PM EST. The deadline for picks will be 30 minutes prior to the drop of the green flag.

After qualifying the driver tier list will be edited to reflect those who did not qualify. All drivers who do not qualify will be highlighted in red.

Be sure to make yourself familiar with the NASCAR Pool Rules and Regulations.

Make sure that you pick three drivers from tier 1, three drivers from tier 2, and four drivers from tier 3.

Make sure that you post both the driver's name and car number to eliminate any confusion.

Make sure that you pick the lap closest the the first caution lap for a tie breaker.

For those of you that have placed in the top three places the last few weeks, and those weeks to come, you have probably noticed something similar to this message....

Just FYI, you are seeing this message because of the satbux that you win by finishing in those top three positions, as stated in the 2012 NASCAR Pool Rules. Now if you have placed in one of those top three positions earlier in the year, but never seen this message until lately, this is why....

You might have noticed some changes on the site here lately as far a new skins (color, and layout of the forum page). You might have also noticed that the satbux count (upper right corner of each post you make, along with your post count, etc.) is now gone. The admin here found that the satbux count was taking a lot of resources for the site server, and needed to remove that count. This also effected the way I was able to donate your satbux to those of you that finished in the top three each week. Before you would not get a message saying to thank me for the generosity, but would just get the satbux unknowingly.

In conclusion, what I would like to say is this....there is no need to thank me for the generosity, as this is something you earn here by playing in the NASCAR Pool. Also if you interested in knowing more about what you can do with the satbux, click on the vB Shop tab at the top of the forum page. You will also find a forum titled vB Shop under the main topic forum of the Lounge (just under the raffles and contests section). In there you will find other things to do with your satbux such as gamble on weekly sports games, and other various things.

Okay.....this is one of the most interesting weeks in this pool I have seen in a long time....From a perfect 10 points standpoint, to the difference in points between first and second. I think our winner this week needs to go buy a lotto ticket!!!! Considering the amount of wrecks that normally happen at this race, and to see a lot of the no name Tier 3 drivers finish in the top 15, the perfect 10 numbers are outta sight this week!!!

Secondly I caught a several mix ups this week of mismatched drivers, car numbers, and wrong drivers in Tier selections. As per the NASCAR Pool rules, you will get the points for the lowest finishing person in that tier, but PLEASE take time to look over your selections and make sure you have your car numbers, and driver name correct, and in the correct Tiers.
