I was using a sw21 for 110 119 (Disque switches always blew on me) very successfully.
Now I've tried to go HD and am having trouble figuring out what to do. Had 110 and 129 in the sw21 and that was ok. But I missed 119. So I tried putting a second sw21 with 119 110 into Dish 1 of original sw21, and putting 129 into Dish 2 . It's a mess anyway. I'm sure there's a simple answer. Any help from the knowledgeable people here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
updated: I realize more info on my set would be helpful: two 24" dishes: one with 119 110 ; another dish with 129 all dual LNB's
I've just been reading more and thought maybe I could use a dp34 switch? is that right? But my Lime Air doesn't have a setting for a dp34 . Just sw21, sw42, sw 44 , sw64

I've just gone to a regular Disque switch for now - supposedly a waterproof one - but I'll believe it when I see it. All works for now and I'll try to find a better solution in the future.... still open to suggestions. thanks

Put 110 and 119 on disquc switch and then to Sw21-1 , 129 to Sw21-2. It works for me nicely with 5 LNBs!

You can only use the DP34 switch if you are using Dpro LNBs. As far as settings go you use diseqc commands to control the DP34 so you would use diseqc port 1 for the satellite plugged into the first input on the switch, port 2 for the satellite using input 2 and so on...

2 questions Do you then use disquc ports 1 and 2 to tell box which bird to scan?
What happens then with this scenario when I want to introduce 2nd receiver?

I use this with my set-up which is running 91, 110 & 119 and they are all dual LNB's feeding two receivers.
I use 2 EMP-Centauri 4x1 diseqc switchs to feed the two receivers but, now I see they have a 4x2 diseqc that would allow me the same thing and I would only need the one switch. With this set-up I still have one open slot should I want to add another bird in postion 4.
They write that this switch is "The Cadillac of Diseqc switches. the 4x2 diseqc allows you to combine four satellites to two FTA receivers. Switch is designed and manufactured in Europe, comes in protective industrial grade plastic weatherproof housing."
Hope this helps
Cheers :)

Given that the OP only wants to tune 3 birds he doesnt need the SW21s. The more switches in a setup the more signal loss so you want to minimize the number of switches.

Yes you would use the Diseqc commands to tell the STB which bird you are tuning. As far as Diseqc switches go you would be well advised to purchase Chieta Heavy Duty or EMP Centauri brands. The cheap ones that often are shipped with the receivers will normally give you nothing but grief. If you want to add a second receiver you will have to duplicate your setup or go with the 4x2 Diseqc setup Shark refers to. I have not seen much written on these switches so will not comment on their reliability.
If you do add a second reciever ground your setup to avoid conflicts between the receivers. The Electrical Codes in both Canada and the USA require even single receiver setups to be grounded.
