SMITH'S FTS IN FINAL SECOND GIVE NUGGETS WIN OVER WARRIORS

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - J.R. Smith made 2-of-3 free throws with 0.4 seconds on the clock after being fouled on a desperation shot, and the Denver Nuggets won a back-and-forth game with Golden State, 123-122, at Pepsi Center.
Smith finished with 21 points for the Nuggets, who had lost six of their last eight games. They played without Chauncey Billups (groin) and Carmelo Anthony (knee). Kenyon Martin led the team with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Ty Lawson contributed with 21 points and eight assists in the win.
Joey Graham scored 20, while Arron Afflalo recorded 10 points, while Nene had nine points and 12 boards for Denver.
Corey Maggette scored 35 points and grabbed seven boards for the Warriors, who have lost five straight in Denver. Monta Ellis finished with 32 points and six assists, while Stephen Curry went 10-of-13 from the field -- including 6-of-6 from three-point range -- for 26 points to go with six assists and five rebounds in defeat.
Anthony Randolph provided 11 points for Golden State, which fell to 3-17 on the road. It was the Warriors' eighth consecutive loss outside Oakland.
Denver started the fourth with a two-point lead, but quickly expanded its advantage.
A Smith jumper two minutes in put the Nuggets ahead, 102-98, and he added another jump shot from 19 feet away with 7 1/2 minutes left for a 109-102 advantage.
