Is this switch a good way to connect 2 receivers to 3 lnbs?

Is there a cheaper alternative to having less cables coming from the Dish iteself (basically having an outdoor switch of some sort on the dish).

thats what i've been using for 4 years now without a glitch, it works perfect. the only problem is the rows are too close together and makes it real hard to get the coax on the second row. its a bit cheaper and works real good but i think if i had to do it again i would go with 2 separate 4x1 emp's.

yea, your better off probably with two 4x1's.

Either way EMP Centauri switches are the best that i have ever used. I always chuck the cheap switches that comes with the stb and replace them with EMP's as they also have a 4 year warranty and never had one fail yet

I use 2 - 4x1's for my 2 receivers......they work great and like Zooger says a lot easier to work with. Be sure to toss the diseqc that comes with the receiver and use a good quality one like EMP Centauri or similar.

Cheers :)

Hi. How would you connect 2 - 4x1's to accomodate 2 receivers? I currently have a dish 500 with a twin dpp plus lnb for sats 110 and 119. In addition, I have a 30" round dish for sat 118. I use a 4x1 diseqc for one receiver. Is it possible to use two 4x1 diseqc's for two receivers? Thanks for your help.

First off, get rid of the external switch, it's not needed, the DPP twin has an internal Diseqc switch.

Connect the second dish for 118 to the input on the DPP twin LNB, run 2 coaxes to your receivers directly from the DPP twin LNB's receivers outputs.

Looking at the LNB with the eye pointing at you, (LNB is off the dish) the 2 ports to the left are the receiver outputs, the port to the far right all by it's self is the external LNB input.

Switching is as follows:

119 = Diseqc #1
110 = Diseqc #2
118 = Diseqc #3

May I ask where would be a good place to order a EMP Centauri Dual 4X2 Diseqc switch. Thanks.
