MILES HELPS JAZZ TO 11TH STRAIGHT WIN OVER GRIZZLIES

SPORTS NETWORK

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - C.J. Miles scored a season-high 24 points, and the Jazz continued their dominance over the Grizzlies with a 117-94 victory, Utah's 11th straight win over Memphis.

Carlos Boozer added 20 points for the Jazz, who haven't lost to the Grizzlies since January 24, 2007. Wesley Matthews added 15, Ronnie Price 14 and Andrei Kirilenko 12, and Ronnie Brewer had 10 assists in the win.

"Anyway you can get a win I'll take it," said Utah head coach Jerry Sloan. "Our guys played pretty well. We passed the ball. We had 39 assists in the game. When you pass the ball, and share the ball, you get a lot of easy baskets."

Sam Young scored a team-high 22 points for the Grizzlies, who had won four straight and seven of eight prior to the loss. Zach Randolph contributed 18 points and seven rebounds, and O.J. Mayo had 16 points in defeat.

"They just outworked us tonight," Randolph said. "We came off a hard game last night. I think we were fatigued. They outworked us tonight."

The first quarter ended in a 28-28 tie, and Utah began the second on a 9-1 burst to assume control.

A 15-7 run at the end of the half gave the Jazz a 14-point lead. Matthews hit a pair of free throws, which was followed by a Mehmet Okur three-pointer; Miles and Boozer ended the surge with a basket each for a 60-46 game.

Randolph made a layup just before halftime to account for the 12-point margin at the break.

An 8-2 run by Utah to begin the second half made it a 68-50 game, and the lead grew to 23 on a Miles basket with five minutes left. The third quarter ended with the Jazz ahead by 20, 91-71, and they cruised to the finish in the fourth.
