the switch im using is 4-1 diseqc switch with specs of frequency 900-2400Mhz insertion loss 3db isolation isolation ports> 25db and power passing 500ma

im using 500 pro 119 and 110 both locked in

...when i change channels i have no s or q but i then turn off reciever and i get good working. another example im watching a certain channel A then i switch to another channel B ...and when i change back to channel A i get no Q or S...I ALSO notice when i change from sat 110 channel to 119 sat channel and vise versa problem occurs ...Note not internet problem as i have xbox live on seperate tv....

the switch is only grounded with srew on both ends... the cables are not new i myself cut them and twisted the head in order to use them...

check your all coax connection, you especially on diseq switch. It is shorted somewhere. Try straight connection without switch one by one to see where is the problem.

Why are you using a diseqc switch with a dish pro 500?

A little more details about your setup would be beneficial for this conversation.

Are you using twist on conectors? If so my suggestion would be to get rid of them because they will cause nothing but problems.

fdsajk i tried what u said i put 110 directly and gets lock on to 110 and 119.I then cover eye and get no 110 ...but still locked in 119 i then cover 119 eye and not locked in no more(have only 110 connected)..when i change it to 119 i get same results as before both locked in??? i have 500 with DishPro that is why i coonected to switch (dish doctor).maybe i do need to get rid off twist connectors...my settings Echostar 10 On osc-dp 11250 off 12224 port 2 off none

Echo star 7On osc-dp 11250 off 12224 port 1 off none

Which dishpro ? One large unit that looks like 2 fish eyes together or 2 individual lnbs ? If it's a single unit get rid ot the switch and connect with 1 cable directly to the receiver . When looking for Q/lock on 119 set tp freq to 12297.
