I had a look at lyngsat and they list some CBC channels as S2 on sat 107w. Has anyone tried them and if so are there additional mux on that sat to what is on lyngsat?

You will also need an HD receiver with MPEG-4 capability's for those CBC channels.

Open CBC channels on AnikF1R at 107.3w will require, as stated above, a dish of at least 6-8' and an hd receiver. The open channels are:

Halifax
Toronto
Winnipeg
Edmonton
Vancouver in English

Ontario
Moncton
Quebec
Montreal
Ottawa in French

So an SV8000 or NF HD would work... audio too?

Not an expert on HD receivers but yes SV8000 is MPEG 4. Should do the job, if there is no audio alway check by presing audio botton or check on lyngsat for proper PID's

As Turbo stated in previous post, yes both those receivers would work. Those tp are very strong and I have scanned them in with a 6' dish before.

there is always a few more channels open on that sat. a ctv channel and a aboriginal channel and a couple descriptive audio channels that have some good movies.

Those are DVB-S2.
NFHD & SV8K cannot decode S2
