BOGUT, REDD LEAD BUCKS OVER BULLS

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Andrew Bogut poured in 27 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked six shots, as the Milwaukee Bucks edged the Chicago Bulls, 96-93.

The Bucks improved to 11-1 on the season when Bogut scores at least 17 points.

"I thought [Bogut] was great," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said. "Defensively he was in the right spots. His basket protection was really big for us tonight."

Michael Redd added 24 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks, who have won three in a row following a four-game skid. Ersan Ilyasova chipped in 13 points and 11 boards for the victors.

Derrick Rose ended with 25 points, nine assists and five rebounds for the Bulls, who have dropped three straight following a four-game winning streak. Luol Deng finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Kirk Hinrich had 12 points and six assists, while Joakim Noah tallied 10 points and 18 rebounds in defeat.

The Bulls started the fourth on a 12-5 run. John Salmons and Hinrich each made three-pointers to start the burst, which Brad Miller capped with a pair of free throws for a 76-69 lead with 8 1/2 minutes to play.

Down 79-73 with 6:15 remaining, the Bucks used a 15-1 burst to take control. Redd and Bogut scored all the points during the stretch, which Bogut capped with a layup for an 88-80 margin with three minutes left.

The Bulls fought back and were down 95-93 following a Rose layup with eight seconds to go. Redd made 1-of-2 from the foul line at the other end to make it a three-point contest.

Deng missed a shot from beyond the arc to give Milwaukee the victory.

Trailing 12-10 midway through the first quarter, the Bucks ripped off 19 straight points. Luke Ridnour capped the run with a three-pointer, giving Milwaukee a 29-12 lead with less than two minutes to go. Chicago closed the period out on a 7-0 spurt to get within 29-19.

"We just didn't start the game off very well," Noah said. "Then it just comes down to a couple of plays down the stretch."

The Bucks held around a 10-point margin throughout the second and took a 47-41 edge into the locker room.

Chicago went on a 10-1 flurry early into third to deadlock the tilt. Rose bookended the stretch with a jumper and layup to make it 51-51. A Noah jumper and Rose layup had the Bulls in front 59-57 with less than four minutes remaining. The score was tied at 64 heading to the fourth.

Game Notes

The Bucks lead the season series with the Bulls, 2-1. Despite the loss, Chicago has won seven of the past 10 meetings in the series.
