I have two FTA box, nano 2 converted, and nanosat premium (wireless connected). Whenever I try to conect my apple laptop and IPAD 2 sometimes one connect or sometimes both do not connect..very frustrating. A message is displayed on computer saying that your IP address is use by 00.....can remember all the numbers and letter. However, when I turn off the nanosat premium I am able to connect both computers. Strange.

Any solution will be appreciated.

It sounds that its an issue with your router...go into your router's setting and mke sure the that under wireless you have the setting numbers wright i think the default settinns is 100 .what kind of router do u have?

Have you tried rebooting.router.modem.and receiver if not then try that first by turning the receiver off then back on from back switch..goodluck

I did that on several occation. The problem occurs almost ever day... sometimes I can only get on to the internet with my Ipad 2 and the laptop is a no, and sometimes vice versa.

Manually change the Ip on your computer because of a conflict!

Do the FTA receivers have static IP's? If so, make sure that you either set up a DHCP reserve, or just assign static IP's outside of the router's DHCP range.

You do it through your router's admin console, every router is different so can you please post the make/model of your router?

The easiest thing to do that works on every router is just to set the FTA receiver's static IP address to one that's outside the DHCP range.

-In your router's DHCP settings, you'll see your starting IP address (192.168.1.2 for example)
-You should also have an option for the maximum number of DHCP clients (50, for example)
-Just add the maximum number of DHCP clients to the starting IP address, and that will give you your DHCP range.
-Using my example above, the DHCP range would be 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.52
-Now you'll just set your FTA receiver's IP address to something higher than that, such as 192.168.1.100 (this is done on the receiver itself)
