Hello folks,

I've got a question regarding grounding the system. The setup is 2 dish and 1 HD-OTA Antenna. The dish setup is as below.

Dish to Zinwell 4x4 switch to 4x1 diseqc switch to receivers(2).

How would I connect ground wire to all these and where would I place the grounding block. The problem is that the dish, antenna and box for switches is on one side of the house and the main service pole is on the other side of the house (also where the cable enters the house)?

Here is what I'm thinking. Connect the single ground wire to both the dish and antenna, then bring the same wire to connect the switches and run it to the other side of the house where the service pole is. Install the grounding block near the service pole. Split the coax and connect the ground wire and coax to the ground block. Connect the ground wire to service pole?

Is the above setup correct or am I completely off the mark?

Thanks

go to the hardware store and get a grounding pole knock that 8 ft pole in the ground leave about a foot out of the ground then get the grounding strap and grounding wire and loop it through the connections where the coax connect there are screws for the geounding wire cost you about 10 bucks for all this at home depot or lowes or menards

Thanks theshark,

Got the system grounded. Had to ground it to the cold water pipe. All seems to be working fine for now.

Did the grounding of your system fix the problem?

And why are you using 2 switches, when the right one will work?

When you say "two dishes" do you mean two dishes wit multiple LNB's on them?

If so, what type of LNB's, are they all the same type?

Looks like it been resolved. No switching issues for now.

Pointing at 91,110,118,119 and 129 with two dishes with 4 LNB. Yes all the LNBs are of the same type. At present using two receivers.
