Hefford scores 2 on the way to win over Raiders

Jayna Hefford led the way with two goals and an assist as Canada's women's hockey team defeated the St. Albert Raiders midget team with a score of 4-2, Sunday.
Shannon Szabados stopped 18 shots to defeat the team with the best record in the AMHL, and a glove-save by the goaltender in the third period held the score at 3-2. Hefford added an empty-netter for a bit of padding.
Meghan Agosta and Sarah Vaillancourt also found the back of the net for Canada on the way to the win.
Later this week, Team Canada plays twice more versus midget teams. Tuesday, the squad faces off against Sherwood Park, Alta. Wednesday, it will meet a team from Edmonton.
Canada is 17-6 against midget AAA teams, this season.
