Hello gang, last week I did a DN instalation, client wanted 2 Dual tunners and 1 single HD stb. Boss gave me a DPP 33 and 1 diplexer, I installed 1 wire from the 33 switch to the SAT side of the diplexer, from the IN/OUT of that diplexer to the 722 triplexer. Now from the UHF/VHF a wire to the 2nd tv in another room, all worked perfect, now yesterday my boss called me for another instalation but this time he gave me a DPP34 and 1 diplexer, with the DPP34 the triplexer that comes with the 722 doesn't work I have to run 2 wires for the receiver SAT1 and SAT2, when I installed the diplexer for the 2nd tv in another room, this tv didn't get any image from the 2nd tuner, now I think my boss is confusing the 33 with the 34, I think I need a diplexer at the back of the 722 using SAT 2 wire and the other diplexer near the 34 switch from the same wire that goes to SAT2 and then the 2nd tv should get the image from the 2nd tunner. Am I correct?
Thanks in advance Turbo.

Should be using a DPP44.

DP... Dish Pro.. DP34.. cant use diplexer.. must run 2 individual sat cables to dual tuner.
DPP Dish Pro Plus.. DPP44 DPP33 can use diplexer.. One cable to dual tuner boxes.

A diplexer is for mixing and or separating sat signal from cable frequencies, you are thinking of a separator that Dn uses on its DPP equipment for dual tuner IRDs.

15572Yes, my mistake, DPP are the LNB's, the switch is a DP34 or 33 but on this install is with a 34
Yesterday went to client's house and tried what I was thinking and it worked, with DP34 you have to wire 2 wires directly to the dual tuner, I used the #2 Sat wire for the diplexers, you can use #1 if you want but have to make sure you use the same wire you diplexed at the back of the STB up in the roof, to avoid confusion I always use the #1 output of the switch to the #1 input of the STB and #2 with #2. The main purpose of this diplexers is to avoid having 3 wires running to the room where to STB is being installed, and also save wire during the installation. Today I found a image installation guide, almost what I did without the home cable junction, just a second tv using 2 diplexers.
Down here in P.R. brand new DN installations are made with DPP LNB's either single output or dual outputs with DP33 or DP34, if more then 3 STB's are being installed like say 4 STB's then to that combo they add a DP21 switch, the 44 I asked why not use that one boss said it wasn't cost efficient to expensive. Thanks for the help gang TURBO

I use a brand wish is not DN, I have used Holland blue sticker color and red sticker color and perfect vision, aspen, R@dio Sh@ck, RCA. Now the one I always use because it is the cheapest and does the job is intercept.

That is a diplexer Turbo, not a separator, it can be used both ways, one way to combine TV signals with the satellites IF signal, (combiner) and in reverse to separate them back out. (separator, yes...

Indeed you are right, my boss wish is an authorize dealer, told me after I gave him a few ideas that he only uses dp 33 and 34 and dp21 with dpp lnb's because that is what dn gave him and dn will...
