Hello friend.
Many Smartphones/Androids have Wifi Hotspot App which allows you to connect Laptops, wifi enabled
Receivers that have either a wifi card or Vonets wifi bridge or similiar.
Some carriers used to try to force extra fees for using more than one port
but now they seem to allow up to 6 ports to be used per cell phone to use
the wifi hotspot option.
I have used Tether with blackberry but really
think the hotspot is nice since no additional equipment is needed
nor any additional fees. The current droid I use has the wifi hotspot built in
so no additional downloads were needed.
Check with your cell carrier and enjoy.

doesn't appear that your phone can be used as a wireless "hot spot" , but would work as a modem with the software installed on your laptop ( above link )

I am still confuse about hotspot, but I think your last sentence is what I want. At my house I have no internet nor neighbors have open wireless, I was told by usb I can use the phone as modem or internet provider and the laptop will connect to internet using the cellphone's internet.
Hotspot is using the phone to connect to someones wifi unlock of course? or am I still lost? lol thanks for helping and understanding TURBO.

Hotspot or tethering means your phone acts as a wireless modem that other wireless devices can connect to for internet access.

That link should be what you need..... and you will need the USB data cable to connect to your laptop .... and I am not sure, but you may have to "start" the modem program on your phone, again, not sure ....

the phone becomes a router/modem when you activate the application, then from your laptop or ipad you connect to that router/modem... enjoy and watch your gig usage.

C/P:
Sprint Cell Phones: How Can I Use My Sprint SPH-m580 (Samsung Replenish) Mobile Device as a Wireless Modem for My PC?
USB tethering
You can tether your mobile device to your computer with a USB cable to share your mobile device's Internet connection with your computer.
Connect your mobile device to your computer using a compatible USB cable.
On your mobile device, from the Home screen, press Menu button > Settings > Wireless & networks > Tethering.
Touch USB tethering to activate tethering mode.
The USB icon now appears in the top left Notifications area on your mobile device.
Important: If you are using your device for Tethering, you may be prompted for additional drivers. The Samsung Mobile Driver for SPH-m580 contains the ADB and CDMA drivers that are required for using Tethering (Phone as a Modem).
I know that it says Sprint, but same should apply to your phone bud...
