Ebay bans the sale of spells, potions and hexes
by Andrea Bellemare Posted: August 17, 2012 11:38 AM
If you're looking for a love spell or three wishes from an ancient genie, you won't be able to turn to eBay for help anymore.
Starting Sept. 1, eBay is banning the sale of "advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic services; prayers; blessings; psychic, Tarot, Reiki, and other metaphysical readings & services; magic potions; healing sessions."
According to an update on company's website, the reason for banning the spells and such was because "transactions in these categories often result in issues between the buyer and seller that are difficult to resolve."
A quick search of eBay reveals spells for finding love or seeking revenge, voodoo practitioners and curse removers.
Some sellers offer refunds, while others don't, but the "shipping" on such items is usually free.
