This is the best fight i have ever seen resulting in the death of Deuk Koo Kim.If i remember right it changed the course of boxing from 15 round championship fights to 12 round fights.Months later the referee and Deuk Koo Kim`s mother committed suicide. Not sure how Mancini made it out alive!

I remember that fight. Certainly one of the best. If I were to pick on bout as the best it would be Hagler/Hearns.

I also remember that fight... Mancini was a great Italian warrior... felt super bad for Koo Kim... he gave it
his best...
Best fight I ever saw,, right off the top of my head was..
Bobby Chacon vs Cornelius Boza Edwards

What a fight!!! Friggin underarms sweat just thinking about it!

Heres the Hagler vs Hearns fight fn59 mentioned. Many folks
say this was the best ever. You older dudes may have seen
this fight on Close Curcuit Tv.I did at Circle Star Theater
in San Carlos,Calif. paid 35 bucks. If you didnt pay to see
these championship fights Hagler,Hearns,Leonard, Duran on Closed Circiut you`d have
to wait 2 weeks to see it on Wide World of Sports with Jim McCay and wade through
ICE SKATING sorry for the yelling:splat:!!

Should mention the fights between Gatti and Ward as some of the best ever.

Gracias Fib... mannnn,,, was watching that and was getting nervous all over again!
Chacon had a scrotum made of iron... poor guy... thats why he is a vegetable now..
Doesnt even know his own name... went the Jerry Quarry, Mike Quarry and Ali route..
Haglar and Hearns was great,, but did not last 15 rounds like Chacon and Boza...
If you guys look at Fib's youtube post.. you can see why i say this was the greates
action fight I ever saw... not a backward step...
These were old school fighters.. along the Rocky Marciano, Guadalupe Pintor, Jersey Joe Walcott line.
OH,,, and Carmen Basilio... was an insult for Carmen to take a backward step.
