Something happened while Floyd was serving his sentence. He is definitely a changed man. Could it have anything to do with 50 Cents, his friend, who has just been granted a promoter licence? It is possible that now that his link with Schaefer and Dela Hoya is broken that he thinks a little differently?http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/default/files/styles/image_content_width/hash/c6/bf/1345013752_1787_floyd-mayweather.jpg
The usually flamboyant man who taunted and chewed up Larry Merchant; who had no kind word for Pacquiao; whose arrogance is as high as an elephant's dong; is turning into a new leaf.

These are his latest pronouncement, as quoted by Colin Linnewebber of Examiner.com: “I think Pacquiao’s an unbelievable fighter, and hopefully we can make the fight happen in the future,” said Mayweather, 35, listed by Forbes in June as the wealthiest athlete in the world for amassing $85 million for performing in two legal fistfights in 2011.

Surprise! Surprise!

While most have given up interest on a possible mega-million fight, this is an unusual sign that could be apocalyptic. After all, he said this just as Pacquiao announced that his Nov 10 fight has been moved to December 1 - or thereabouts. All the rumours about Bradley getting a rematch are flickering. And although Marquez and Cotto are being mentioned as "possibilities", Pacquiao continues to mumble about getting it on with Mayweather.

Ok, no one is losing sleep on this prospect. Still, Mayweather's statement is so "not him". Paying Pacquiao respect? All I can say is WOW!

Meanwhile, I have been watching Rousseyhttp://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m74aqfWiB21qhx7g9o2_250.jpg
and the LPGA. Todd can't blame me!

Actually, Rudee, there are a lot of things and speculations happening. If you read the latest about the date postponement (to Dec. 1) and then back again (to Nov 10), everyone is trying to guess about the flip-flop. They say that it has to do with political requirements (submitting papers physically to run for re-election); Cotto having his eye on a December fight; Pacquiao not happy with Arum, etc.

Other sources, however, indicate that a dispute with the purse guarantee by Arum is a sore point. They also say that if Tim Bradley is again considered, he would be paid less the 2nd time around. Pacquiao wants the Mayweather fight - that is for sure. (His son tells him so.) He is lukewarm to the idea of facing Bradley, or Marquez...but would most likely consider Cotto - who plans to fight in December.

Instead of turning down Arum's proposals outright, the Inquirer reported a few hours ago that Manny is telling Arum the roundabout way by not making any decision, how he feels about the trio: Bradley, Marquez, Cotto. He clearly wants Mayweather.

Hi aqua,, sorry didnot wanna sound sarcastic.. however we been thru this so many times before.
as you well know.. so near and yet so far.
Looks like Floyd does better with guys on their knees. sundays them and runs.
I do agree, Bradley and Marquez would not create much interest.
Floyd and Manny need each other... they better get to work.

The first one to offer $20M will match Pacman

The first one to offer $30M will match Floyd

Aqua, why did you cut that woman's picture off? I'm waiting for the rest of her story. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words!

Actually Chig, I was debating which picture to use. Ronda has a few more....ummmm...... quite ....ah....alluring photos. Actually, Suzanne Pettersen of the LPGA blew Natalie Gulbis with her photo shoot!

It's quite an alluring photo. I think I'll hang around for the movie.

Actually, my friend, with almost non-existent or very little exciting boxing matches lately, I have concentrated on other sports. With the Canadian Ladies Open held at my backyard this past weekend, I got to watch Suzanne Pettersen, Michelle Wei, and the youngest (15 years old) amateur golfer to ever win a major golfing event - LYDIA KO, a South Korean, who resides in New Zealand. She took on the entire field of professionals.

However, getting back to Suzanne, I printed this picture of her and asked for her autograph. She refused to sign the picture and instead gave me a kiss thanking me for being her fan!

Oh, I know it is off-topic so here is something to put this in perspective:

Chris Robinson of The Examiner wrote this (quoted by Alex Groberman of Opposing Views just an hour ago):
After much uncertainty regarding Manny Pacquiao's return to the ring, it looks like we might be back where we first started, with Mexico City's Juan Manuel Marquez having the edge for another crack at the Filipino icon inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 10th.

Pacquiao edged Marquez via a highly-debatable majority-decision last November in another tense battle that could have gone either way, as was the case in their first two duels. Pacquiao surrendered his WBO welterweight crown to unbeaten Timothy Bradley on June 9th in a fight he appeared to clearly win, and despite having a strong desire to avenge that defeat, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has constantly hinted that a rematch doesn't make economical sense at this point.
