Hello, I have a B?V powered SW44 which feeds 3 sub IRDs. I'm looking to add a Genpix into equation. I have a 4x1 diseqc and two SW24s as spares. I've been searching the forums still not sure. I'd like to keep the SW44 and just add the Genpix but I'm not sure on what cabling/switch/diseqc combo to use. I'd like the Genpix to able to pick up N1 & N4 like my subs do.
Thankx.

you would need dual output lnbs in order to add a second switch

What sub IRDs do you have? If they are all are single tuner units then all you have to do is connect the FTA unit to the fourth output of the SW44. Do not connect the FTA unit to the power insertor for the SW44. One problem you might have is that not all FTA unit support the SW44. Even though the switch is listed in your antenna setting when you scan channels you end up with only half the channels. There is ways around this so if it happens let us know and we can post a solution for you

My IRDs are all single tuner. I'm using a DVB-S2 unit (Skywalker 1 (Genpix)) with TVLogic software. From what I see TVLogic does not support an SW44. So an output from my SW44 to my Genpix would be the easiest way, but it seems the software does not support an SW44. I'm not using an FTA unit. But yes, when I take an output from my SW44 to my Genpix, TVLogic only scans about half the channels and a ton are listed as duplicates for some reason.
I was thinking of the Nim1 dual legacy lnb going to an sw24 and Nim4 dual legacy lnb going to another sw 24. The two outputs from each sw24 going to my sw44 to feed the subs. And one output from each sw24 going to a diseqc, and that outputting to my dvb card. I think that should work?

Are these sw24s the powered units Bev use to supply? If so my concern would be how 2 powered switches would react in series (the sw24s and the SW44) You might consider 3x4 switches in place of the sw24s.

The SW24s are not Bev supplied. I bought them myself and they are not powered at all.

Your working with legacy equipment, you can't add new style SW24 switches to an old legacy system, they have to be the old style legacy SW21's, and trying the combination you posted above will not work.
A legacy system uses +13 and +18 volts on 2 coaxes from the LNB, out to 2 inputs to the switch, 2 from satellite "A" and 2 from satellite "B", thus the SW44 switch, you can't split it or use another switch in between these outputs.
Also if the Genpix tuner does not support the old style legacy switch then you out of luck.
To use the Genpix tuner, you would have to replace the old style LNB's with 2 new DP duals and a DP44 switch, or replace the dish with a D500 that has a DP quad LNB on it, then you can run 4 receivers without the external switch.
This all depends on how old your BEV receivers are, some of the older ones will not see the newer LNB's.

According to Genpix,Skywalker-1 supports legacy/sw44/sw21.I don't know about TVLogic software.

I've got 2 Aroc SW24s. Both have +13 and +18v inputs with 4 outputs. These must be powered by the IRDs? I'm guessing these are an older legacy model so it may work with my SW44. I guess I should just try it and see. My IRDs are fairly current, 6131s.
Actually it's the DVBLogic that does not support sw44...got that info from their forums.
