one question, when installing the actuator do you tighting the two screws that is holding the actuator itself at the longer end,so that it can move to the bottom at the motor side?i am locked in to 83w with actuator all the way in and it cannot go father east to sat 85w,87w,etc.thanks

Hmmm... I'm trying to picture this in my mind, but am having trouble understanding what two screws you mean.
Do you have a pic at all?
If not what brand actuator is it? Maybe I can look it up & see a pic

Are the 2 screws you mentioned in your first post, the two bolts on the clamp?

yes those screws in picture is correct.what i did is extend the actuator tube all the way out until it cannot go no more then bring the tube in halfway and aline it to my true south sat which is 83w.

What moves your BUD? a G/V box?
Is it throwing errors?
How old are your wires?
What gauge are they?
Sorry for all the questions...Just trying to understand why you cant move any farther East?
What you mention sounds right...
My true south is 93, & I only speak English, so a 18" actuator is enough for me...About 72 is as East as I need to go, but I like to go all the way to 137 to watch TV every once in a while...I also pick up a few audio TP's on 139.
To start peak you true south like you did...
Find a few sats on both sides of your true south, & see where you go from there...
What I did was to find 139...
Lock my BUD in place...
Bring the actuator all the way in...The back it out a little...
Then I peaked 139 & started that as my #1 position
137 was #2, 135 #3, 133 #4, etc...I skipped all the Circular Ku sats since I only have a linear Ku LNB.
Here is a pic of the back of my Dish...
Hope it helps. >>>let us know how you're doing<<<

augoldfinger thanks, i do understand what you are saying in post, but i am tracking the arc with my actuator tube halfway out and true south sat which is 83w,i am useing dmx741u scan in c and ku on 83w,i try 101w and 103w pickup some cband but no ku need to ajust the lnbf, trees is blocking 85w to 99w.will try again tomorrow.thanks

Do you have the little cable for the Ku hooked up?
There is a internal switch in that LNBF...You need to set your receivers menu on your all your Ku sats to Port 2...
I cant remember for sure... but you might have to turn on 22KHz as well.

yes i have c-band on port1 and ku on port 2. 22khz is off on ku that the settings i use its working for me on 83w.
I have that same LNBF on one of my BUD's...
I checked my old Coolsat 6000.
Receiver settings are:
C Band DiSEqC 1.0
Port 1
22KHz off
Ku Band DiSEqC 1.0
Port 2
22KHz on
Hope that helps

i have a PowerMax PMA24 24 Inch C Band Dish Actuator.how do you reset limits? i had it going all the way out and in before i mount it to my 6'ft dish.now it only going halfway out,it will not extending all the way out.so i took it off and try to extend it,doing the same thing.so i extended it with my hands about three ins only then did it extended.but it will not go all the way in.is there a way i can reset this to no limits? pulling my hair out.
