D-Link, Buffalo, Cisco, any of them will work fine.

Now if you want a good high power one try a, Amped Wireless R10000G high power gigabit router.

Like this one,

I just upgraded to a Linksys EA4500. So far, so good.
It does have a real easy interface for the beginner.

I have a D-Link 5.0GHZ. Most wireless stuff around the house works on 2.4GHZ which may interfer with your signal so haveing 5.0 is a big advantage.

Most wireless adapters are still 2.4 ghz so you will still need that frequency.

Most Dual band routers don't broadcast both frequencies simultaneously so be careful if your planing to have both.

OI bought a usb wifi that is 5.0 that is hooked up to my laptop. The reason i did this is because my stereo is wireless operating at 2.4GHZ any everytime i turned it on, my internet was disconnected so i have to do this setup.

Best Buy is having an online Labour day sale right now. and they have a good router on for half price. it's an excellent router I'm even considering one myself.

Two draw backs that I see are no ddwrt compatibility or now vpn services mentioned. Either than that it's a champ..

If you just install DDWRT in each router you ever get you will always know quickly how to make any changes etc.. DDWRT is the way to go..using asus 520GU that has lasted years and never needs a reboot..

Just change the channel frequency on your WIFI router, this will take care of that problem.

I just got a nice one from Buffalo systems for a great price, N450, with DD-WRT installed, and a gigabit 4 port switch.

Look on Amazon for a WZR-HP-G450H router.

I beginning to really like this EA4500. Don't generally use linksys other then the wrt54g but it has both 2.4/5 and are separately programmable. Also is IPv6 ready (about time) and it is fast with 1Ghz ports but they are still using a USB 2 port!!!!
