Help getting HD channels!

I have scanned the channels from 82W, but cannot get a picture. The audio is coming through fine but there is no picture. Can someone help me how to set this up? Thanks!

I am using the JynxBox Ultra HD, so that should be pre-installed shouldn't it?

I bought it from ebay. It said a jb100 module was included. Is that what I need?

There is only 1 tuner for the Jynxbox . No tuner no picture. If he has the sat cable plugged in the he has the module.

Are you sure you have it on a working HD channel that your P$ is showing? Does your P$ show HD?

I just opened up the box and there is a jb100 module inside and installed. What else would cause this problem of no picture?hope its not burned out,have you tried other hd channels like sat 129 to make sure its working....

Yes, the P$ does show HD. I am able to get the audio for all the channels, but no picture so I am fairly sure there is some setting that is not working properly

I did the factory default and tried rescanning the sat, but now all the transponders are being skipped and not finding any channels.

I tried with a factory default, no luck. Tried with the newest file and same thing is happening, no channels found

Yes. The settings are the same as they were before, but now I cannot pick up any channels even though I am getting nearly 85% quality

Do what? There is no option tab in the menu for the Jynx.

do this, press menu, go to system and press ok, now press ok on system setting and turn on lnb power then exit 1 time and go to
AV setting and press ok.
video resolution < 720p_60
aspect mode Auto
OSD timeout 6

That is all done. When I scan the sat the transponders show up but they all SKIP instead of OK

Do what? There is no option tab in the menu for the Jynx.i,m curious when you didn,t have no picture just sound,were you connecting the receiver to the tv with the red-blue-green cables or with the hdmI cable,because if it was with the coax cables there were probably connected to the wrong place or color....

With HDMI. And I could see the guide and the menu, but when I would change the channel the info tab would show on the bottom and would hear the audio but no picture.

i had that same problem after a factory reset and what i found was the aspect mode was not on auto.
now if the module is bad and you got it off ebay, well you are SOL, you should have called Leesatt then you would have a warranty
but you can still call leesatt and order a new tunner,

Yeah, but now I am wondering why all the transponders are skipping instead of finding the channels....Shouldn't the module still permit me to find the channels? I am still getting quality and signal from the lnb and the lnb is still being powered so there must be something else that is causing a problem.

i would think that the module is good if you have S&Q, what lnb settings are you useing, lnb freq should be 11250, and look at port
and look at your SR, and you mite want to try the rca cables, you could have a bad hdmi cable.
do you have any sd chs that that will scan in, i am just trying to help you think of what you mite have overlooked.

The port and freq are set properly. The hdmi isnt the problem because I am able to see the menu etc. I am trying now to get the sd channels, but they are being skipped as well. One thing I noticed is that when I factory defaulted none of my settings changed, only deleted my sat and chan lists. Is that what normally happens? I am used to using a Viewsat Ultra and this is a little bit different. Also, is there a factory file that I could load via usb?

Is there a way to upload a channel list to the receiver? If so, where could I find one for Nimiq 1 & 4 (91W & 82W). Maybe that would work....

that is normal for the jynx to save some of the settings, as for the factory file i dont think that will help, the factory file dont have
a sat list, when you buy a jynx box it is a pvr not a sat reciver, you must add a tunner and a 3rd party software to make it a sat
reciver.

when you go to manual scan at the top of the screen in yellow print it should id the sat that you are scaning, look to see that you are on the rite sat.

I am trying Nimiq 1 @ 91.0W and it is identifying the TPs but will not obtain any channels from any of them. I can take the cable to the lnb and plug into my viewsat and everything works fine but will not identify anything on the jynx

go to dish setting and set it up like this.
lnb freq 11250
S.R for sd should be 20000 and for hd it should be 21500
DiseqC 1.0 should be set to your port what ever it is for the sat you are scanning.
DiseqC 1.1 = disable
legacy SW = off
legacy lnb = OCS-DP
22K = off =

Somewhere you have a wrong setting. You have signal and quality and can see the menu so that eliminates your tuner card and your HDMI cable.
What kind of LNB's are you using?
Post those and what your set up is in your menu.

What version of the software are you loading into the receiver. It should be 207. If you still have the factory file still in the receiver that is your problem.

He has to have software loaded beyond the factory file otherwise he would not have a sat list to go into and set 91 or 82.

sound on BV is not encripted

If your using a motor you need to turn positioner off before it will scan HD or even let you view HD video.

after going back and reading your first post, this is what i think, at the time of your first post your problem was not the ch scan it
was your PS or your internet setting, you entered a wrong # in on your PS, go back to your first settings and rescan to get the ch
back then reinter your internet settings and your PS, i think that will do it.
let us know if that was the problem.

LNB freq: 11250
Diseqc 1.0: disable

legacy sw off
legacy lnb ocs-dp

then time set , scanned 110, 118, 119 129.........then activated 2 different pS
eliminated not working channels (delete)
WOW.........looking at channel guide (epg) and channel switch, it was beautiful
now!!!! the box is ready to be used for any body........if the user know how to set up properly.Its not rocket science.......but you still need experience of setting up fta boxes, ps info, network, setup and connection............and also minor trouble shooting
I guarantee...................if you are at this level you won't complain...........people want spoon feeding, they buy the box and assume, world liable for their free tv
that's not how it works. you either need to spend time to learn OR spend some green so some one can setup for you.
