The number one rule in this game... Read,Read,Read and then read some more.
The latest file for the 360p is here:
http://phoenix.satfix.net/showthread.php?119604-Sonicview-Premier-p28-rom-CCE-fix-May-05-2012
The Svlan-43 file is used to help repair the dongle. You should have not tried that one.
Unhook the dongle from the box.Use your usb stick and load the latest file to the box. Power down after the file loads.Reconnect the dongle and reboot the box.
Look for the "updating" message to appear.
After the update, you might have to re-enter your iks network info again.
You may also need to re-enter your sat settings and rescan your sats for channels.

Let us know how it goes and good luck,

Load the factory bin in the box and start over with a fresh box.
Load the latest file in the box:
http://phoenix.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=16320&d=1348963067

Redo your sat settings and rescan for channels.Get pic and sound on channel 101 (it's free and open all time) to confirm the box is set up and working.

Now follow this how to:
http://phoenix.satfix.net/showthread.php?119735-Easy-I-hub-upgrade-and-V82-fix

Now go into the Network Settings menu and enter the info you were given.Set to "DHCP" and reboot all including the router/modem. Wait for the modem/router to fully boot before starting the box.

You should be good to go.

Post again if you still have issues.

Good luck,

In short... yes.
There is an Emulator for SV using your computer.
Last i saw of it was on that famous auction site for $50.00
Dongles can also be found on the same site but way over priced.
If your SV box is HD, it might be worth it.If not, I would advise looking into a newer box with built in lan support.

Happy testing,
