I am having trouble scanning channels with the Jynx. I am able to scan channels with both my OpenBox S16 and my Viewsat Ultra but when I try with the Jynx it just skips over all the TPs. I have uploaded the most recent firmware and have the settings correct but it won't scan any channels. Anybody have any ideas?

Did you factory default after loading the latest bin?
Once in your menu post what you have for settings as well as what type of dish and lnbs you are using.

Legacy SW: Off
Legacy LNB: Off
22K: Off
LNB Power: ON
Signal Intensity 79%
Signal Quality 82%

What lnb are you using? If it is a Dish Pro Plus lnb (dual lnb with extra input port) your legacy lnb should be set to OCS-DP.

No it is not DPP. It is a universal LNB. I have it working fine with my VS Ultra, I simply copied the settings from one STB to the other

Nope. No motor. I'm thinking that maybe the tuner is burnt out?

If it IS a universal LNB, then they don't normally run on 11250. You might want to try other freq's for the LNB Freq

Is this cable coming from your LNB direct to your the sat in on the back of the jyxnbox or does the cable from your LNB go to a switch?
Try simply turning your Diseqc 1.0: Off to on and see if that helps.

Thats currently the setting I have it on. The cable runs directly from the lnb to the back of the receiver, no diseqc switch involved.

I had the same problem with 119. The others scanned in ok.

I scrolled through the Legacy LNB settings and tried others but of course that didn't work.
When I put it back to OFF it then scanned 119 ok.

i think on the jynx box you need diseq 1.0 set to port 1 with or without a switch, before you scan look at the top of the screen to
see that it has the sat id that you want to scan.
i dont think its a bad tunner if you have S&Q, i would think you are off on your settings.

I noticed there is a setting for freq of Universal 9750-10750. If there was a setting like that with 11250 as the high end for the freq it might work. Is there a new bin coming soon that they could include that in lol?

yes there is a new ben being tested by a few lucky members, but i dont think that will be an option, they are trying to fix
some of the other problems at this time.

This is not a bin/file issue.
It is simply a matter of settings.

Update:
I installed a new JB100 Module today and the Jynx is working fine, so my assumption was correct about the module being broken.

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. Great site, great members, great help!
