Hi just looking for a bit of help with my setup,Ive been running NF HD with noi on the nfps server with no problems,Now Ive purchased a Beaver tv code, but my stb won't pick up the noi program on my computer.suns disconected. I havent changed any of my ip settings or anything. Any ideas,Ill post my ip settings when I get home.Thanx

hey guys my settings are as follows

Cpu.
IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Sub 255.255.255.0
IP 192.168.0.105
default 192.168.0.1

NF HD settings

IP 192.168.0.20
IP Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.105
DNS 192.168.0.105

Like i said when using nfps for dn,no problems at all,but beaver looking for bev all I get is suns disconected.I've done a pile of reading and tried different things but still no luck.Any help is greatly appricated.Thanx

I will bet you are using the r27 file. You need the 24 or 25 file. I personally have better success with the 25 file. Then you need to add the 2 external ip addresses for dish & bell, 123.108.108.138 & 123.108.109.22. Then it should work

I agree. I have had the best success with the r25 file.

I assume by default you mean router?

If you do have the 25 or 24 file installed and it still doesn't work, I would look at changing:

NF HD settings

IP 192.168.0.20
IP Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.105
DNS 192.168.0.1


Another thing..sometimes routers are only set to having an ip range of 50. The pc is 192.168.0.105, I would set the ip of the NFHD to 192.168.0.120

so it would be:
IP: 192.168.000.120
SUBNET: 255.255.255.000
GATEWAY: 192.168.000.105
DNS: 192.168.000.001

Post back and let us know if you get it.

well the easiest way to make NOI work is to take the original file used with it when NOI was first reelased and forget about those stupid updated files

Im not sure what file i have Ill check tommorow,I am running noi and it runs flawless on dn with nfps.I wiil post my findings.Thanx for the input.

There are no stupid updated files for the NFusionHD receivers. All the NFHd files were released long before NO1 existed.

You should set the following settings.

Or you can also do a ipconfig /all to get the info and put the real dns in. Instead of pointing it at the router. But pointing it at the router will work.

Hey good call Riverman, I'm using r27 as you figured. so I will downgrade to r25 if you figure thats the best,but about the external ip Im not sure what you mean?Im only gonna run bev on the hd box and Ill run a nova with no noi for dn.Thanks to all.

You can get both dish and bev on one NFHD.

Just add a second server in NOI.

Yes he is running NOI, but the NFHD needs to have a file on it to. The r27 only deals with the south providers. The r24 and r25 have both north and south providers.


You should set the following settings.
NF HD settings

IP 192.168.0.20
IP Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.105
DNS 192.168.0.001

That's what I said above. The DNS should be his router.

are you sure about that? I thought NOI was a working fix for all the other Nfusion models long before there was a working solution for NFHD. Meduser has it right about the IPs and really when switching from one IKS provider to another the only thing you need to change is the server info the new guy provides

they only tell you to add 1 external IP but the procedure to add the 2nd is the same and you need to do that for Bev. to work

You have it backwards. The NO1 program was developed to make the HD receivers work. NO1 is an adaptation of Romcode which was the fix for the NFusion HDs at the time. There were working fixes for the sd models long before.

Geez! I have read this post, from pg.1 and my god I am confused, it is no wonder the original poster is confused, all he had to be told was to load his btv info into the north birds downgrade his file from 27, to 24 or 25 file, read the NOI setup Instructions to add the extra IP,s to his comp network, and he would be good to go, and he would be able to run any NF receiver, sd or hd. Thats all I did, to run my btv sub.

Hey guys,ok I tried what was suggested however the instructions are for windows 7 and Im still running xp,so I did a google search to "add an external ip" and I don't see anyway to add both of them,'i click internet protocol-properties-general tab-Obtain an IP Address Automatically- Alternate Configuration tab-then fill in my info,ip,subnet,default gateway,dns-click ok. But Im not sure what to put in for any other info gateway or dns? Does any of this sound right or am I completely screwed?Thanks in advance for any help.Thanx

You shouldn't be on obtain an ip automatically. You need this to be static. So choose Use the following settings.
Add your info. This can be the same as the last time you were online.

Wow man I really suck at this ****...so I went back in and entered my original ip,subnet,and default but i never got my dns the first time around.so when i ip config i get

DHCP Enabled......NO
IP 123.108.109.22
sub 255.255.255.0
IP 123.108.108.138
sub 255.255.255.0
ip 192.168.0.105
sub 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.0.1

but my NOI can't connect to server now,is it because i havent entered a primary and alternate dns?I'm so lost its beginning to make sense.Thanx for all your patience.

have you entered your codes on server 1 north in advanced settings? Have you set your network settings in the receiver as static with the gateway 192.168.0.105?

ok..so your NFHD should be:

ip: 192.168.000.120
sub 255.255.255.000
Gateway 192.168.000.105
DNS: 192.168.000.001

Set your pc static here, add DNS at bottom part.

Hey Riverman,As far as entering my settings in the advanced screen Ive never done that before,Ive only entered them in the settings screen then clicked save,then start and all has been good,But I will certinatly check that as soon as I get home.The reciver is set to static and my gateway is 192.168.0.105.
Meduser as far as setting my ip to static thats done by entering my own Ip instead of automatically obtain?correct?If so then Im good that way,but I don't know what to enter for my primary and alternate dns??Where will I find that info?Thanx Again you guys are great.

That is correct for the static ip.

Try 208.67.222.222 for preferred DNS server.

On NFHD what do you have for DNS?

Should be the ip of the router you have.
In this case it would be:
192.168.000.001

You guys are awesome,I input my dns that you suggested and right back in the game with bev.I never put my north bird settings in advanced but if I wanted to run dn and bev I would just put them in the advanced server slots?Thanks again for all your help.maybe this post will help somebody else having setup issues.Thanx

I have nfusion hd and i have 2 accounts one for dn and one for bev. they are different providers.
every thing was going fine till 2 days ago. i can connect to dn but i can not connect to bev. and i have noi 131a.and my two accounts are valid .pls. help thanks
