490's and ppv

Can anyone say if they have the porn and ppv working. It shows connected and scrambled.

nothing here at all. The 490s moved from 119 to 110 yesterday. Once the servers back to 100% youll need to re-scan... No sense in doing it at this point.

rescanning can be done anytime and is very good practice to rescan often especially if the receiver you are using does not have an "auto tp" option

Agreed... it can be done at anytime. But re-scanning can, and does cause confusing results when the service is down. In a perfect world folks would re-scan and know better than to expect an immediate difference. But weve all seen people start changing settings trying to get the system to work, only to change something that didnt need changing...

have you checked announcments,some ports have had i.p. change.always good to read these first.but if you lose some channels,then rescan is good.

Why would you want to rescan weekly? If your using any favorite options your going to have to redo that info weekly too. I only scan a tp when there is a channel change and that's not to often on the working channels. I suppose you do a factory default weekly too.
