Dreamlink hd Epg

Hello every one,

I just finished set up a dreamlink hd, and was wondering how to populate the epg. I read one post
to select 200 or 239 and let sit there for about 10 minutes but it really did not populate that well I got about 2 hrs
Is there a step I'm missing.

Press 239..Then epg.Then red button (toggle)Then yellow and wait a while..Repeat if necessary,and it usually is..

Normally word on the straight is after about 10-20 mins you could have up to 4days guide doing this

I am not even close, 40min 239 partial epg maybe one or two days not all channels, then tried 200 same results
I thinks it's bin problem I also have aNanosat se, I get about a week fully populate epg in about 5 minutes
the other problem I am having is with the remote it's very slow to respond
Other problem is time recording I have not been to figure out how to use it, but I guess that is not going to
help unless I can populate the guide any way is the any instruction on the pvr time recording?
nothing the manual, Sorry for being so long winded by I am trying to understand the pro and cons and getting very frustrate with it

Just do like i said for the epg..This might take a few tries but it workx..Just make sure you stay on that channel only..You can exit epg if you like.You will get it..For recording presss the ok button till the button on epg event turns red.In the menu options you will find utilities with pvr info.

For the help and understanding, but I brought this box so I would not have to play games and have something that actually
works, well so much for that. I guess I should have asked more question before I bought it.
Anyway I will do a little more testing I will be posting a proper review, may it will help some of our fellow testers in their buying decision

Like all boxes there are some issues. The latest factory file (105) and third party file seem to have fixed most of them.. And yes EPG on a dreamlink is sometimes slow to load.. It has to be left on 239 for quite while..( 20 minutes or so..)Sometimes a hard boot of the receiver and then parking on 239 helps..

The more you play with it the easier it gets..Just take your time and do some testing,the end results will be worth it..Besides the module issues..The Dreamlink is a neat little machine..

Have had similar problems with getting the guide as well. Have done as KIDWCKED said, left it there for over night and only still get about a 3 hours guide. Have repeated the process and still nothing. Not sure why this happens when others get a 4 day guide, a one day guide would be great!

Leave it there for 20 mins.If nothing repeat the process till it populates..It works for me that way fine..

Yes, I have done it that way. I leave it sit there for oh 40 to 50 mins. Check it, populates for about 3 hours. Repeat the steps, leave it for another hour (I have at times left it overnight) then I get it. But say, 3 hours later the guide is gone again. So not sure why some are getting it and others aren't and why it wont stay.

I go to 239 hit the dish epg 10 to 12 times then let it sit on 427 and it populates alot faster. I always get 5 days on all channels and have no problem staying. Then repeat the same process after 2 days again. Also make sure the toggle epg is showing when on channel 427 and it works fine....Enjoy

Just one question for nightowel6900, curious why would 427 populate the epg better than 200 or 239 ?
and how did you determine the channel.

Just wanted to say, thanks, between the two suggestions something worked on my end. What about you gforcedreamer00? I finally got about a 3 day guide by putting in 239 then the guide button, then the yellow then hitting the red button about, oh 18 to 20 times. Did this over a span of about 4 hours and it was there. Takes awhile for it to populate, so maybe give this a try.

Actually you should use the red button first(toggle)before the yellow..This might take 3 tries tops...

First of all thanks to all that are participating in this thread

Now going back to the Epg I have tried all of the methods suggested but the best I have been able to do is about 3 days
but not fully populate all channels so if you where to check your epg you will see some channels have 3 days and other channel 3 hours so to answer your question no it's not populating properly.
FYI I have a nanosat se that will give me 7 days fully populating
in about 10 minutes however it does not work well on nfps.

Ok Folks,

I have been doing a little more testing on my epg issue, and I have a question,
on lingsat chanl 239 is an hd channel on two tp 4 and 7
does it matter if you are not set up for hd ? also in manual scan and where it says transmission what should be selected
here are the choices

DVBS QPSK
DVBS2 QPSK
DVBS2 8PSK
TURBO 8PSK

Now should all the TP be set to the same or is each one is different for example TP4 is set to TURBO 8pks and
TP6 is set to DVBS QPKS now what is interesting that when I select tp6 I get 97% sign and 97% Q in blue then
when I select TP4 I get 97% S and 97% Q but in red not sure what is going on but I do receive 239
