So, basically, our Rocket has been down for a while. I don't have a lot of specific information on hand at the moment since I'm doing this for my dad who lives quite a distance from me. I do know that the "connection bar" or something has been reading 0, instead of a usual 1 or 2? Anyways, it's been scrambled for a while.
My family recently moved from BC to Saskatchewan. I think it was working back when they were in BC, but after the move it has not worked once. Should the move have affected anything? They're using one of those wireless adapter things, so technically any new IP information should get forwarded to the receiver, right?...
Could the shutting down of the old satfix have affected anything?
Also, my dad wanted to know about MAC addresses. They are built into the receiver, and generally do not change, right?
I can't think of what else I might need to ask. Basically, it's been down for... maybe 2 months? And we can't figure out what the problem is. Too bad I can't be over there, it'd be much easier.
